On 9 June 2026, the ECLIPSED documentary team visited the Institute of Ophthalmology at University College London (UCL) to film an interview with Professor Glen Jeffery, Professor of Neuroscience at UCL and one of the leading researchers in the fields of vision, ageing and the biological effects of light.
The interview is part of ECLIPSED’s international production, which brings together scientists, researchers and experts from different disciplines to explore the growing issue of light pollution from multiple perspectives. By documenting these conversations, the film aims to present the latest scientific knowledge while encouraging a broader discussion about one of the fastest-growing forms of environmental pollution.
Filmed at the Institute of Ophthalmology, the interview with Professor Jeffery adds another important scientific contribution to the documentary. His participation joins an expanding list of internationally recognised experts who are sharing their knowledge and research as part of the project.
The London filming was one of several production activities carried out in the United Kingdom during ECLIPSED’s research journey. Alongside interviews and location filming, the visit strengthened the documentary’s scientific foundation by connecting the project with leading academic institutions and researchers working at the forefront of their fields.
As production continues, ECLIPSED remains committed to presenting light pollution through a multidisciplinary approach, combining science, environmental research, wildlife conservation and human experience to better understand how artificial light is reshaping our world after dark.
